Hi! I'm Kim Lloyd, the person behind the lens.

Photography has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Long before I ever picked up a camera, I fell in LOVE with creating. As a little girl, if it involved paint, clay, glitter, or making a mess, I was all in. My mom always joked that if it was messy, I was going to love it—and she was right.

That passion led me to earn my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a teaching certification in art, focusing on graphic design and ceramics. For 21 years, I had the privilege of teaching art and yearbook, where I inspired students to be creative while discovering my own passion for photography.

Today, I’m beginning an exciting new chapter as a high school counselor while continuing my photography business. Although my career has evolved, my heart for people has stayed the same. Whether I'm helping students navigate important moments in their lives or capturing meaningful milestones for my clients, I love creating genuine connections and making people feel seen.

The story behind the name... Yes, I have blue eyes. And yes, both of my daughters have blue eyes too. The name New Blue Eyes Photography was inspired by watching my girls experience the world with curiosity and wonder. Seeing life through their "new blue eyes" reminded me to slow down, appreciate the little moments, and find beauty in the everyday.

I rarely go anywhere without my camera. When I'm not photographing seniors, couples, or families, you'll usually find me spending time with my family, enjoying the outdoors, or working out.

Why I love what I do... Photography is so much more than taking pictures—it's preserving memories you'll treasure for a lifetime. I love capturing genuine laughter, quiet moments, and the milestones that tell your story.

My goal is to create a relaxed, FUN experience where you can simply be yourself. The best images happen when you're comfortable enough to forget the camera is there. Those authentic, candid moments are the ones that become timeless.
